Stunning Glass finishing of Kejetia Redevelopment (Phase one)

Kumasi Kejetia Redevelopment Project

The Kejetia Redevelopment Project was tipped to be a boast of the Ghanaian economy considering its strategic location. Kumasi Central Market is one of the biggest in West Africa serving millions of traders in the sub region.

The project which was projected to complete in mid 2018 faced several challenges that have prolonged its completion. It, however, needs to be ready for traders to move in from the Kumasi Central market and pave way for the second and third phases of the project to commence.

One major setback was the lack of land for electricity, gas and water installations for the facility which was aided by the Kumasi traditional Council earlier this year.

With work done at above 95 percent, the project will soon be ready .

Althought his has been spotted long ago but I though of it a second and want ask if this path will benefit us in the long term. I won't deny the aesthetics appeal of this glass finishing.

The questions Yawpreko is asking are;
  1. Can this glass walling withstand such a high transient daily population in the longer term
  2. Will it benefit a country with poor maintenance culture.
