Corpse flower produces flower for the first time after 77 years

The New York botanic Garden saw hundreds of visitors on its premises to witness the worlds largest flower. New Yorker's had a new scent this summer when touring the Garden due to the presence of the flower. 

About 8602 people visited the garden the day it was announced and nearly 30,000 passed through the premises on the 13 day exhibition. The corpse flower takes close to ten years to be produced and lasts for just a day or two.
